Attack on Titan characters, arranged by weight.
Things I have learned while making this:
1. Reiner and Erwin confirmed to be human-shaped bricks
2. Reiner weighs about as much as Annie and Christa combined
3. Levi what the fuck
For HarrietThis post is in honour of Harriet Rowland of Paremata, Wellington, who was laid to rest yesterday surrounded by her loving family and friends. It was a beautiful service for a very beautiful girl. Harriet was 20 years old and although her life was short, she was grateful for every second of it.
We got to know Harriet through the blog she started in August 2011, which documents the changes in her life after she discovers she has cancer. But don’t be put off by that – her writing is funny and truthful and wise, exactly like the Harriet we got to meet when she visited the set last year.
Harriet’s in the middle.
A lot of people have messaged me about the 30 Day Challenge list. I hadn’t realized the link on my old post was down, so I’m reposting it now, as well as letting you all know for the next 8 weeks I’ll be posting every Monday with animated illustrations. Hopefully I can brighten up your otherwise dry work week Monday!
UPDATE: Sorry I fixed the list. There was bunch of dummy text in there. It’s all good now
Does this at some point in my life
Yes I did reblog this 6 times. Your lucky if this isn’t on your dash everyday.
Could you live on $8 or $9 dollars an hour? A computer game made by the Urban Ministries of Durham in North Carolina and an advertising firm called McKinney lets you play out life with a low-wage job as a single mom. The objective is to make it a month, juggling getting a job, rent, a place to live, food and coping with the costs of repairs, things for your child, insurance, etc.. Actually a very hard game to play and full of reminders of the difficulties of life on that kind of salary.
Seriously, if you haven’t played before, play it now. If you have played before, play it again. Especially important during this election season.
just playing this game alone made me really stressed and anxious
ALL THE HATER ANONS, PLAY THIS
This game is amazing. Play it, play it, play it! I shared this with a professor who then had her students play it. So real.

Project for my Social Psych class last semester. This poster series was created to 1) challenge these internalized stereotypes by bringing them to the viewer’s attention and 2) expand the range of role models by including a diverse group of women. Each poster follows the same basic pattern: a woman who has demonstrated her competency in a particular area refutes the stereotype that appears above her in the form of “Girls can’t …”. While the posters target girls ranging from children to young adults, I expect the message would also cause people outside that demographic to question their own beliefs about women and power. I designed each aspect of the posters with several principles of social psychology in mind:
